Logic: According to B.O.D.E.M.S rule, first we solve brackets then division in this equation.
          48 / 2 (9 + 3) = 48 / 2 ( 12 ) = 48 / 24 = 2

    Trick Question: It can be both. It can be (48/2)(9+3) or 48/(2(9+3)), becoming either 288 or 2 respectively.
